About Webitops
An independent product engineering studio that builds and operates complete web products. What we do, how we work, and what we deliberately do not take on.
Webitops is a small, independent product engineering studio.
We are not a body shop and not a design agency. We build products that have to keep running after launch — which means the work includes the parts that rarely make it into a portfolio: the billing edge cases, the retry semantics, the locale negotiation, the audit trail, the reason the cache is correct.
The evidence is public
Rather than asking you to take a capability list on faith, three of our products are live and reachable right now. The case studies go into their engineering decisions, and the notes go deeper still into individual problems — an idempotent notification pipeline, a ledger that derives every balance rather than storing it, a cache invalidated by two counters instead of a hundred keys.
If you want to know whether we can build the thing you have in mind, that material will tell you more than a sales page can.
How we work
- Small number of engagements at a time. We take on work we can actually give attention to.
- Written before built. Non-obvious decisions get written down, with the trade-off stated. Several of these documents ended up as public notes.
- Operate what we build. Monitoring, alerting and the on-call reality shape the design from the start, not after the first incident.
- Plain reporting. If something is late, blocked, or turned out to be a bad idea, you hear it early.
What we do not do
- Pure staff augmentation on someone else’s ticket queue.
- Design-only or front-end-only engagements.
- Rescues we do not believe can succeed. We will say so rather than bill for the attempt.
About the studio’s identity
Webitops publishes under the studio name. Everything here was designed, built and is operated by the same hands — and the products are public precisely so the work can be verified independently of any biography.
